Pearly Gates 04:18
Let me tell you about a man, Who people thought lost his way. He'd go to the local bars and drink his cares away. He'd wander about the town. He meant no ill will. The towns people would shoot him looks, looks that could kill. He would sit in the darkest corner all by himself. He would watch all the people drink from the top shelf. He'd say Go on and laugh, go on and play. While you're waiting for those pearly gates, I won't have to wait. Every once in a great while he's utter some words but no-one paid much attention to his profound verse. He'd say Go on and laugh, go on and play. While you're waiting for those pearly gates, I won't have to wait. Let me tell you about a man who people thought lost his way. He would go to the local bars and this is what he'd say... I've seen my share of sinners. I've seen my share of saints. They all ate the same plate and treated me the same way. He'd say Go on and laugh, go on and play. While you're waiting for those pearly gates, I won't have to wait.

I've seen the end of days and all the different ways people can be beaten to the ground. I've seen liars and thieves with everything in between and sounds from no where around. The world's ablaze and I can't light my smoke. The flames are cold in the fray. So I go for my bottle but my bottle seems dry and I hope for better days. I've seen the sky turn red and a pack of sheep lead by a blind man with a golden book. I've seen angels fall and devils rise to power without as much as a second look. The world's ablaze and I can't light my smoke. The flames are cold in the fray. So I go for my bottle but my bottle seems dry and I hope for better days.

Fall of Man 05:20
There's a long a narrow road that cuts through the orange groves. Travelers' destinations within destiny's hold where lives are being bought and sold. Regardless of how young or old. There's an abandoned building where squatters now lay. Loosened from reality by a chemical haze. Claiming humanity has lost it's way. Knowing that the system will one day cave. This idea is nothing new. A game of chess among the elite few. This is the fall of man. A modified American plan. Where corruption reins and morality is detained. What will remain? What will remain? There's a small but wealthy village on the edge of the wood. Ruffled by the ramblings of a penniless girl who's got no job, got no way to feed her child. No one takes notice they live in denial. She claims she's always known how to commune with the dead. She's made a modest life putting evil to bed. Nobody wanted things to change. They turned their backs and labeled her deranged. This idea is nothing new. Justus for them but none for you. This is the fall of man. A modified American plan. Where corruption reins and morality is detained. What will remain? What will remain? A game of chess among the elite few. Justus for them but blood for you. This is the fall of man. A modified American plan. Where corruption reins and morality is detained. What will remain? What will remain?

Lost Soldier 02:34
He stands at attention. Hand over his brow. Listening to taps as the casket goes down. Another soldiers cross. Another one gunned down. Another good man lost never to hear this song. Filled with sorrow. Never shedding a tear. He recalled what his buddy said as he quietly stood there. Medic, medic! Bullets rain from the sky! This man had too much to live for. He wasn't prepared to die. As he bleed out. Waiting his demise. "Tell my wife I love her and to kiss the kids good bye." As he stood over the brave soldiers' wife. He began to give her that red, blue and white. On behalf of the U.S. Military and the Dept. of Defense, I give you this flag for the fallen in remembrance.

It seems so perfect in my mind. Every last moment frozen in time. But the simple fact of the matter is it's in my mind and it's still a lie. No one would be wiser if we had June in Winter. Lets run away with the sun. As long as I remember we can have June in Winter. Melt the snow with our love. Here we are like the changing tide. The ups and the downs, the lovers quarrels and fights. The simple fact of the matter it's in your mind. The fears are all lies. My words fill your screen. A fleeting sign. Easily ignored but passes the time. The simple fact of the matter, they were just lies. The truth is still in my mind.

The world is on my shoulders and my knees can't take the weight. Hopefully Ill be out from under before its too late. Every now and then I think of the problems I've outrun. I wish it mattered more to me than it really does. Take a step into my world and see what I have seen. Roll the dice, choose your vice. For me its whiskey & weed. This ship has sailed for years along a violent sea. With the coming storm survival isn't guaranteed. I've done my best to bunker down. At least to some degree. All who's left to easy my mind is Jack and Mary. Sometimes I wonder why I can't escape my brain. I guess it's one of those things in life you just can't explain. I've got these friends of mine who keep the demons at bay. I know that God wouldn't have it any other way.

Flow 04:47
Look me in the eyes, tell me what you see. Can you read me? Is it me you see? Sometimes a book is hard to read. When you open the cover do the words bleed? If I were to drown would you take me by the hand or would you be afraid to swim? If I were to burn would you cover me with sand or would you stand at a distance and scream you can't? You're high as the moon. Stuck on the surface as I swoon. Once I build me a rocket I'll meet you there. Float among the stars just to say I was close enough to stare. It feels like its only us in the universe divide. As long as you stay right here, by my side. But if we were to part upon reentry meet me on the ocean floor and lay down beside me.

I've hit rock bottom enough times to know that the journey back up is slow. And though the tides will turn and the winds will blow there's no where else to go! Enter trials and tribulations here to throw a wrench in the equation. But they don't know that it's become my motivation! Incinerated as fast as I can take it in. I NEED YOUR FUEL FOR THE FLAMES. I NEED THE FLAMES TO REMAIN. YOUR FUEL SUSTAINS ME. It's lonely at the top, that's what they've told me in colorful stories of those who've come before me. But one must see with their eyes to believe disregarding the lies and deceit. I've been knocked down, I been pushed around But not once have I thought about backing down. No, no I'm not backing down!
9.
I've lived through a prophesy or two and never had a clue. I've walked through hell time and again just to find a friend. If the streets crumble beneath my feet and if my heart were to skip a beat I will not be afraid, I will not be afraid. I learned the value of a dollar when I lost everything. I learned the value of a word when I wrote my very first song to sing. If the streets crumble beneath my feet and if my heart were to skip a beat I will not be afraid, I will not be afraid. I know a few will stroll through hell without a care and I'll sit here and play my songs for all the lost souls to hear. If the streets crumble beneath my feet and when my heart decides to cease I will not be afraid, I will not be afraid.

Way I Feel 03:41
Let me look throughs the eyes of the innocent once more. Let my heart beat wildly until it's sore. Save me from the drop of that 10,000 mile fall and maybe, just maybe, I'll find the strength to crawl. I aim to reinvent the way I feel, maybe redirect the wheel. Either way I hope this fantasy is real, hope this fantasy is real. I rarely say the words I've said before. Allow my to hold my tongue and call me a coward. Throw me to the sharks and I'll slowly learn to fish. My thoughts as bait I'll throw back each catch. We can play like children on a mid summer day. Forget about our worries and run our care away. Before we part I got one thing left to say. Cherish this moment because it's surely meant to stray.
